Electronics Assembler – Soldering Technician

Position Summary:

We are seeking a reliable and skilled Electronics Assembler, certified to IPC J-STD-001 CIS standards, to support our high-volume electronics production line. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience in assembling, soldering, and inspecting electronic components with consistency and precision in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.

Key Responsibilities:

· Assemble and solder through-hole and surface mount components on printed circuit boards (PCBs) according to IPC J-STD-001 workmanship standards.

· Maintain high throughput and consistency across large batch builds while ensuring quality standards are met.

· Interpret assembly instructions, production drawings, and work orders accurately.

· Perform visual inspections and basic functional testing of assemblies.

· Document production data, complete lot traceability forms, and identify non-conforming product.

· Operate standard assembly tools and equipment, including soldering irons, magnifiers, reflow ovens, and ESD-safe tools.

· Adhere to ESD, safety, and cleanliness protocols.

· Participate in continuous improvement initiatives to support production efficiency and quality.

Qualifications:

· Current IPC J-STD-001 CIS certification (or eligible for immediate renewal).

· Minimum 1–2 years of experience in high-volume electronics manufacturing or PCB assembly.

· Proficient with both hand soldering and surface mount technology (SMT) assembly processes.

· Comfortable working with repetitive tasks while maintaining high quality standards.

· Strong attention to detail, manual dexterity, and steady hand-eye coordination.

· Basic computer skills for tracking work and completing production documentation.

Preferred Qualifications:

· Experience working in ISO-certified or regulated environments (e.g., automotive, industrial, or consumer electronics).

· Familiarity with IPC-A-610 visual acceptability standards.

· Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings and ESD handling procedures.

Working Conditions:
