Job Description Lead Java Engineer for ESL (Enterprise Services Layer) product team. ESL is an API product which supports a number of clients including primary B2C Web teams (Royal Caribbean and Celebrity Cruises) as well as internal B2B teams. Role requires significant experience with software engineering principles and best practices, solution design, design patterns, latest technologies, technical troubleshooting techniques, and application testing and DevOps.
Position requires developing, enhancing, supporting a collection of Java API services based on incoming requirements and reported defects. Role also requires communication / collaboration with client and backend teams, contribution to technical roadmap, participation in production support, and delivery of technical guidance to fellow Java Engineer team members.Candidate will need to guide the software solutioning process and provide options/recommendations on product/process improvements Required Skills 1. Experience with Product Engineering best practices / standards 2. Analyze, Design, Develop Microservices 3. Containerization / AWS Deployments 4. Perform unit and integration testing 5. Investigate and resolve reported defects 5. Decent understanding of DevOps / Jenkins Required Education Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science or corresponding field preferred. Required Years of Experience Software development (5+ years preferred) Object oriented systems (5+ years preferred) Desired Skills Java 8, 11, 17 Spring and Spring Boot Kubernetes / Docker containers pigee API Management SQL and DB2 - scripting and stored procedures Kafka - data streaming SOAP and REST Devops - Maven, Jenkins, SonarQube gile / Scrum methodologies PM tools (ie AppDynamics) Desired Education Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science or corresponding field preferred.
