Job Description: Information Systems Analyst 4 (VB.NET):

The Information Systems Analyst 4 (VB.NET) is a senior-level position responsible for developing, maintaining, and optimizing software applications using VB.NET within a Microsoft-centric environment. This role requires strong technical proficiency, extensive experience in data conversion, and the ability to collaborate effectively with stakeholders to deliver robust solutions that align with business objectives.

Technical Proficiency (35%) VB.NET Development :

Extensive experience in programming with VB.NET, including debugging, maintenance, and testing of applications. Ability to analyze business requirements and translate them into technical solutions using VB.NET. Microsoft-Centric Environment :

In-depth understanding of Microsoft operating systems, software, databases, utilities, and tools. Proficient in utilizing development platforms like Team Foundation Server, Microsoft SQL Server, and Visual Studio. Data Conversion and Validation :

Analyze, map, and validate data to ensure accuracy and completeness during data conversion. Develop and execute data validation and testing plans to verify successful data conversion. Identify and troubleshoot data issues, ensuring resolution before project completion. Experience and Expertise (35%) Application Development and Maintenance:

Experience in developing and maintaining VB.NET applications, focusing on quality and performance. Coordinate with project teams to ensure alignment with project objectives and deadlines. Data Analysis and Stakeholder Collaboration :

Analyze source data structures to determine appropriate mapping to target systems for data conversion. Collaborate with stakeholders to understand data requirements and specifications during application transitions.

Application Knowledge (20%) Application Functionality and Processes :

Understanding of application functionality and processes within the application stack. Manage user roles and permissions, ensuring access to sensitive data is restricted to authorized personnel. Business Requirement Analysis : Ability to analyze business requirements and design technical solutions using VB.NET.

Miscellaneous (10%) Security and Compliance : Assist implementing security measures and harden software to protect data integrity and confidentiality. Communication and Documentation : Elicit and communicate technical and non-technical information clearly and concisely. Develop technical documentation for all pertinent applications.

Skills and Abilities Technical Skills:

Minimum of 5 years of hands-on experience in VB.NET development. Experience in Microsoft SQL Server, Team Foundation Server, and Visual Studio. Understanding of different database types, particularly Microsoft SQL Server, and secure database management. Data Management:

Experience with data profiling, data quality assessment, and anomaly detection. Experience with projects involving application and data migration. Communication and Collaboration:

Strong written and verbal communication skills to effectively interact with team members, stakeholders, and external vendors. Ability to work well under pressure, manage multiple tasks, and prioritize work to meet deadlines.
