This is a hands-on, operations-focused leadership role requiring a clinically competent RN leader ready to improve patient care delivery, manage interdisciplinary teams, and drive unit-level performance metrics.This is not a remote or hybrid role you must be willing and able to lead on the floor and round regularly.Who We Want (Must-Haves) Licensed RN in the state of North Carolina (or compact multistate license) Associate degree in nursing (ADN) required at minimum Current BLS certification from American Heart Association (must be active within 30 days of hire) Proven leadership experience in acute care charge nurse, assistant nurse manager, or higher Familiarity with ICU-level acuity, med-surg workflow, and telemetry monitoring Demonstrated ability to manage staffing, scheduling, and staff development in a clinical settingHighly Preferred (Nice-to-Haves)BSN degree or higherPrevious Nurse Manager experience in a multi-unit capacityStrong grounding in bedside nursing care and evidence-based practiceProficiency in clinical documentation systems (e.g., Meditech, Epic)Solid track record of collaborating with interdisciplinary teams (pharmacy, PT/OT, case management)Key ResponsibilitiesAs the Nurse Manager, you will:Oversee daily operations for ICU, med-surg, and telemetry ensuring staffing, safety, and clinical quality standardsSupport a team of RNs, LPNs, CNAs, and support staff through mentoring, scheduling, and performance evaluationCollaborate with the Director of Nursing and CNO to execute departmental goals and system-wide initiativesChampion clinical education and ensure annual competencies are completed on timeMonitor and manage unit-based KPIs, including HCAHPS, readmission rates, infection control, and staff retentionFacilitate team huddles, debriefs, and incident response when necessaryPromote a culture of accountability, transparency, and respect upholding the organizations valuesAssist with budget planning and cost control measures, including PPE, staffing ratios, and overtime managementWhy This Role is DifferentThis is a career-growth opportunity for RNs with leadership ambitions or early manager experience looking to step into multi-unit responsibility.
