Atlanta, Georgia 30334 Job Summary: Under general supervision, the Data Network Engineer will support client data modernization initiatives. This role combines technical expertise in data engineering with hands-on experience using modern cloud-based technologies, particularly Microsoft Fabric and Azure. The engineer will participate in the migration from legacy systems and contribute to the design, development, and management of scalable, secure, and efficient data pipelines and solutions to support data-driven decision-making across the organization. Work Location & Attendance Requirements:

Must be located in Metro Atlanta. On-site presence required Tuesday through Thursday per manager's discretion. Mandatory in-person meetings may include: All Hands, Enterprise Applications, All Staff, and other on-site meetings. Work arrangement subject to change at management's discretion. Key Responsibilities:

Design, build, and maintain scalable ETL/ELT data pipelines using Microsoft Fabric and Azure Databricks Implement medallion architecture (Bronze, Silver, Gold) for data lifecycle and data quality Support the sunset of legacy SQL-based systems and SSRS, ensuring data continuity Create and manage data transformation notebooks using Python, SQL, and Spark Build and deliver curated datasets and analytics models for Power BI dashboards Develop dimensional and real-time data models for analytics use Collaborate with data analysts, stewards, and business stakeholders to develop fit-for-purpose data assets Apply data governance policies including row-level security, data masking, and classification via Microsoft Purview or Unity Catalog Implement monitoring, logging, and CI/CD pipelines using Azure DevOps Support data migration and cutover events with minimal disruption Technical Stack:

Microsoft Fabric Azure Databricks SQL Server / SQL Managed Instances Power BI (semantic models and datasets) SSRS (legacy system support) Required Qualifications:

Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or related field 5+ years of experience in data engineering, preferably in government or regulated environments Proficiency in SQL, Python, and Spark Hands-on experience with Microsoft Fabric (Dataflows, Pipelines, Notebooks, OneLake) Experience with Power BI data modeling and dashboard development Familiarity with data governance tools (Microsoft Purview, Unity Catalog) Strong understanding of ETL/ELT pipelines, data warehousing, and schema design Excellent communication and collaboration skills Preferred Qualifications:

Microsoft Certified: Fabric Analytics Engineer or Azure Data Engineer Associate Experience with CI/CD automation using Azure DevOps Knowledge of data security and compliance standards (e.g., FIPS 199, NIST) Experience in managing legacy reporting system decommissioning (e.g., SSRS) Soft Skills:

Strong analytical thinking and problem-solving ability Team-oriented with the ability to collaborate across multidisciplinary teams Adaptability in a fast-paced and evolving technology environment Required Skills Summary:
