Injection Mold Maker
My client builds various types of injection molds for the plastics and silicone industries that produce medical and military products.
Position Overview: The candidate will be responsible for supporting the plastic injection mold making process. Commitment to maintain mutual respect and purpose with co-workers. Willingness to learn from and train others.
The Injection Mold Maker reports to the General Manager. • Build & repair Plastic Injection Molds • Proficiency in operating CNC machinery • Experience with CAD/CAM Software (Mastercam/Cimatron) • Ability to read, interpret and work from blueprints and schematics • Strong understanding and use of precision measuring equipment • Set up and operate machine tools such as lathes, mills, saws, grinders, EDM's, etc.; when complete, verify the conformance of parts to specifications • Other duties as assigned, as needed, to satisfy customer production/needs
Qualifications: • High School Diploma or equivalent required. A minimum of a 2-year technical degree with an emphasis in Tool and Die or Machining is preferred • Knowledge of Plastic Injection Mold Making experience preferred • A minimum of 5 years' experience in manufacturing tool room environment required • An initiative-taking attitude and a desire to continually learn and improve • Dedication to ensuring a clean and orderly work environment
