Job Description: The Director of Business Travel Sales is responsible for growing existing accounts and generating new business to maximize transient revenue, profits, and market share. The role involves developing and implementing strategic action plans.

Approach all encounters with guests and employees in a friendly, service-oriented manner.

Maintain regular attendance in compliance with Fairmont Standards, according to the hotel’s needs.

Maintain high standards of personal appearance and grooming, including proper dress code and wearing a name tag.

Comply with Fairmont standards and regulations to ensure safe and efficient hotel operations.

Participate in discussions and contribute recommendations for room yield strategies. Attend rooms merchandising meetings.

Meet and exceed transient room revenue goals as set by the General Manager and Director of Sales and Marketing.

Participate in business reviews and increase REVPAR market share with the sales team.

Review and share monthly account tracking data.

Communicate new account information to reservations, CRO, and GDS.

Manage the RFP process for negotiated accounts.

Conduct large local travel agent and BTC presentations regularly.

Organize the annual customer appreciation event.

Provide professional and courteous service to all accounts.

Create ongoing promotions for the Transient Sales Team.

Schedule and conduct CRO and travel agent FAM trips.

Participate in trade shows as needed.

Develop and train the transient sales manager.

Collaborate with the Director of Sales and Revenue Manager on sales action plans and monthly transient forecasts.

Qualifications: - College degree preferred or 3+ years of industry-related experience, including transient sales. - Supervisory experience preferred. - Knowledge of CRO, GDS, property PMS, and GRC is helpful. - Understanding of pricing, yielding policies, and sales promotions. - Basic arithmetic skills.
