Job Summary of the Automation Developer
The Automation Developer is responsible for designing, developing, and implementing automated workflows and solutions using Microsoft Power Automate and the broader Power Platform suite. This role plays a key part in streamlining business processes, enhancing productivity, and supporting digital transformation initiatives across the organization. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in automation, integration, and low-code/no-code development, with a focus on delivering scalable and maintainable solutions.
Requirements of the Automation Developer
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or similar and minimum 5 years of relevant experience as an IT business analyst, systems administrator, or similar field. Life sciences and/or pharmaceutical industry experience or knowledge preferred. Proficiency in Microsoft Power Platform (Power Apps, Power Automate, Power BI). Strong knowledge of HTML, SharePoint, and Sharepoint administration including extranet and security configuration. Experience with Intune and deployment automation a strong plus Experience in AI development, such as AI Studio, creating CoPilot Agents, etc. Strong data engineering and business intelligence skills. Excellent problem-solving and communication skills. Responsibilities of the Automation Developer
The specific duties of the Automation Developer include but are not limited to:
Design and develop custom applications using Power Apps to meet organizational needs. Build automated workflows with Power Automate to enhance operational efficiency. Support data BI team and SMEs to create interactive dashboards and reports using Power BI for data visualization. Develop and maintain business applications using Microsoft Power Platform tools. Replace legacy Excel and manual analysis tools with modern solutions to support business decision-making systems. Integrate enterprise data and develop BI products. Collaborate and interface cross functionally with multiple departments, business analysts, project managers, stakeholders, and quality management teams to prioritize and complete projects. Team with Business Analysts and users to understand requirements, develop technical solutions, and provide testing and documentation. Build platforms in Azure to process forms, populate structured databases, and leverage Azure OpenAI for processing.
