ABOUT YOU:

As a Sr. Developer - Oracle Applications, you will specialize in e-commerce, play a critical role in designing, developing, and supporting Oracle EBS applications with a strong emphasis on product catalogs, order entry, pricing, and product setups. You'll be responsible for creating and enhancing solutions that integrate Oracle Applications with external e-commerce platforms and EDI systems, ensuring seamless data flow and accurate order processing. Your expertise in developing scalable interfaces and configuring pricing models will directly support business growth and operational efficiency. You'll create and customize applications to meet user needs, streamline processes, and boost performance. Whether you're analyzing requirements, designing clean database solutions, or collaborating with a team to bring powerful tools to life, this role offers the opportunity to drive efficiency and have an impact.

YOU WILL:

Support. Support and maintain the front-end order entry and management systems for Jostens.com e-commerce product catalogs (excluding yearbook and jewelry), with a focus on custom product categories for high school and college markets. Provide technical expertise in troubleshooting and resolving Oracle application issues across Oracle E-Business Suite (EBS) and custom product catalog databases. Collaborate with functional teams to address system gaps, enhancements, and new functionality requests. Monitor and optimize system performance to ensure seamless operation of high-volume, integrated environments. Assist in Oracle EBS support and enhancements while ensuring minimal disruption to key Oracle applications. Provide guidance and technical direction to less experienced personnel.

Update and Maintain. Design, develop, and maintain Oracle applications and custom product catalog systems to align with evolving business requirements. Manage catalog data by adding/removing products, maintaining pricing, linking and cross-selling items, and ensuring accurate attributes (e.g., color) for customer-facing displays. Ensure data consistency and accuracy across Oracle EBS and external e-commerce systems. Test and validate application changes in collaboration with IT Business Analysts and business stakeholders. Prepare comprehensive technical documentation, including design specifications, test plans, and user guides. Maintain and customize Oracle EBS modules and forms, adhering to Oracle development standards.

Develop. Create and maintain Oracle Forms, Reports, PL/SQL packages, custom interfaces, and workflows to support catalog updates and sales order integrations. Develop and manage system integrations between Oracle EBS and internal/external platforms using APIs, Web Services, and SQL Loader. Work closely with cross-functional teams to estimate, design, build, test, and debug scalable solutions that meet documented business needs. Contribute to the development of both standard Oracle components and custom-built solutions, including custom product catalog databases. Proficient in PL/SQL, SQL, Oracle Forms, and Oracle Reports. Experience with Oracle Application Framework (OAF), BI Publisher, and Oracle Workflow is preferred.

Advise. Collaborate with internal teams and business users to ensure product catalog data integrity and alignment with strategic goals. Provide effective mentorship and technical support to junior team members. Lead or contribute to IT project teams and cross-functional initiatives, focusing on continuous process improvement, technical excellence, and system reliability. Participate in efforts that involve research, documentation, and problem-solving.

Strengthen. Stay current with Oracle best practices, emerging technologies, and industry trends. Maintain deep knowledge of Oracle development tools, especially in the context of high transaction volume and large-scale enterprise environments. Engage in continuous learning through training classes, technical materials, seminars, and peer collaboration. Familiarity with Agile development methodologies.

Help. Promote a customer-focused mindset by actively identifying and responding to the needs of all users. Support cross-functional collaboration and facilitate clear communication with business users to resolve issues effectively. Remain open and responsive to change, maintaining high standards of service and support throughout the software development lifecycle.

YOU HAVE:

Experience. 5+ years of experience developing and managing Oracle E-Business applications (Order Management, Manufacturing, Inventory, Purchasing, AR, AP, GL). Demonstrated experience working as part of a development team. Experience with Oracle E-Business open interfaces, APIs, Workflow, and Concurrent Manager. Experience using source control systems. Ability to lead small to medium-sized projects or development efforts. Must be able to work independently as well as a member of a team, and work with confidential material and information.

Education. BA/BS degree with an analytical discipline or 5+ years of experience directly related to professional software development.

Passion. Strong leadership capabilities, self-motivated, pleasantly aggressive, and realistically ambitious with high personal ethics. Knowledge of business management concepts, techniques, and functions. High-level requirements gathering, with the ability to translate into technical specifications. Knowledge of project management techniques.

Technical Skills. Demonstrated proficiency with the following: SQL, PL/SQL, Oracle Forms, Oracle Reports, XML Publisher. Database design. Performance and tuning. Strong analytical ability to perform a full range of system design and programming responsibilities utilizing state-of-the-art concepts, techniques, and languages. Ability to accurately estimate deliverable requirements into development hours.

Attention to Detail. Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions. Effectively adapt to rapidly changing technology.

Great Communication Skills. Excellent written and verbal communication skills with demonstrated ability to read, analyze, and interpret business periodicals, professional journals, and instructional manuals. Ability to write reports and other varied business correspondence and present information effectively both written and verbal.
