Our client is seeking a seasoned
Senior IT Project Manager
to lead the implementation of mission-critical technology initiatives in a complex, multi-vendor environment. The ideal candidate is a highly organized, strategic thinker with a strong background in both project management and business analysis, capable of navigating technical challenges while ensuring the delivery of high-quality solutions that meet organizational goals.
Key Responsibilities: Serve as the primary point of contact for the Health Connector regarding project management and vendor implementation. Develop and manage integrated implementation schedules including milestones, deliverables, and all phases of the SDLC. Coordinate with internal stakeholders, third-party vendors, and subject matter experts to drive project planning, execution, testing, and go-live readiness. Facilitate regular project status meetings and communicate risks, dependencies, and mitigation strategies to senior IT and business leadership. Review project documentation and requirements, perform impact assessments, and maintain issue logs. Lead triage efforts, resolve project issues, and provide direction to ensure timely, budget-compliant delivery. Promote project management best practices and ensure all user requirements, deliverables, and approvals are fully documented. May oversee business analysts and assist with aligning technical tasks to business needs. Required Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree or higher in Engineering, Technology, or a related field. Minimum 10 years of project management experience in IT or software development environments. At least 5 years of business analysis experience. Proficiency in MS Project and Office 365 tools. Strong understanding of software development lifecycles, system integrations, and vendor management. Preferred Qualifications:
Experience working with local, state, or federal government agencies. Background in State-Based Marketplaces or healthcare IT environments. Key Attributes:
Strong leadership and communication skills with a proven ability to manage cross-functional teams and vendor relationships. Skilled in identifying project risks, managing change, and driving issue resolution.
Highly analytical, with exceptional organizational and presentation skills.
