SR. STRUCTURAL ENGINEER
Primary Role and Responsibilities
Develop project scope, goals, plan, and deliverables
Communicate project expectations to team members and project stakeholders on an ongoing basis
Estimate resources and participants needed to achieve project goals
Draft and submit budget proposals
Monitor project budget and schedule to ensure compliance with client requirements
Structural bridge design, retaining walls, culverts, headwalls.
Structural repair and bridge repair plans.
Building and foundation design.
Serve as mentor to junior staff members.
Qualifications and Education Requirements
Bachelor's Degree in Civil Engineering IDOT-registered Team Lead Understanding of NBIS standards 6+ years of successful progressive project experience 6+ years of successful project management experience Proficient with load rating Proficient with Microsoft Office Proficient with AutoCAD, MicroStation, and AASHTOware Deep understanding of IDOT design standards, procedures, and specifications State, County, and Municipal Experience Construction Observation Experience Strong organizational, interpersonal, and communication skills Ability to work as part of a team License and Certification Requirements
Structural Engineer License (SE)
