What will your job look like?

We are seeking an innovative and strategic

Manager, Data Governance

to be accountable for MTM's enterprise-wide data governance program and ensure the integrity, quality and security of our organization's data assets. This role will establish and enforce robust data governance frameworks, policies and processes to ensure accurate data collection and accessibility to drive top-line growth, cost-saving efficiencies, and improved business outcomes.

What you'll do:

Develop, articulate, and execute MTM's data governance vision, strategy and roadmap

Define data governance objectives, priorities, and key performance indicators (KPIs) which demonstrate governance ROI

Collaborate with internal departments (e.g. Operations, Finance, Technology, Product) to establish and enforce robust data governance structures, roles, and responsibilities to support effective data governance and assigning clear accountability for quality and compliance

Educate and train stakeholders on data literacy and data governance

Establish and maintain comprehensive data governance policies, procedures, and standards

Establish data quality standards and monitoring processes to identify and address data issues proactively

Implement and oversee metadata management to capture and manage data lineage, definitions, and dependencies

Establish a data contract framework

Ensure compliance with healthcare data regulations and encounter standards, including HIPAA, and promote best practices in data stewardship enterprise wide

Apply Artificial Intelligence to support scalability and automation throughout the data governance program

Build, lead and mentor a high performing data governance team. Foster a collaborative, innovative environment focused on continuous learning and progressional development to drive excellence

Define and track metrics to assess the impact of data governance initiatives on business performance

Identify opportunities to enhance efficiencies and strengthen MTM's competitive position through improved quality of data assets

What you'll need:

Experience, Education & Certifications:

High School Diploma or G.E.D.

Bachelor's degree or equivalent work experience

5 - 10 + years of experience in data governance, data management or related roles

Experience working with data using SQL or Python

Experience with AI, Business Intelligence and analytics/statistical/data mining techniques

Skills:

Demonstrated experience in creating and enforcing data governance frameworks that ensure data accuracy, integrity, and security in healthcare settings

Demonstrated experience in the execution of data governance tasks including profiling data, monitoring data quality and tracing lineage across databases, ETLs and reports

Knowledge of data governance tooling including data catalogs, data quality and master data management

Understanding of data engineering, cloud platforms, data lakes, data warehouses, data integration, BI tooling and Analytics tools

Understanding of healthcare data regulations, including HIPAA

Skilled in influencing and aligning cross-functional teams to execute on a shared data governance program, exemplary verbal and written communication skills with the ability to translate data governance concepts to stakeholders

Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with critical attention to detail

Understanding of Agile philosophies

Ability to be effective in a fast paced, dynamic environment and identify with customer needs and circumstances

Ability to manage multiple tasks and projects, and forge strong interpersonal relationships within the department, with other departments and with external audiences

Ability to maintain a high level of confidentiality

Strong understanding of data governance principles, frameworks and best practices

Familiarity with regulatory requirements and healthcare industry standards

Track record of continuous learning and development

Regular attendance is required

Even better if you have:

Certification in data governance or related areas (CDMP, DM-BOK, etc) a plus

Salary Min: $90,000

Salary Max: $136,000
