We are seeking a skilled Electro-Mechanical Technician to support maintenance and repair operations for automated machinery within a large-scale food production facility. This role ensures equipment is operating at peak performance and supports overall production reliability through hands-on troubleshooting, preventive maintenance, and system optimization.
Job Duties:
Perform diagnostics and hands-on repair of high-speed production machinery, with emphasis on electrical controls, servo systems, and drive technologies.
Carry out scheduled maintenance routines and recommend corrective actions to improve reliability and reduce downtime.
Troubleshoot mechanical and electrical faults across systems including pneumatics, AC/DC motors, control panels, and PLC-driven automation.
Collaborate with maintenance, operations, and engineering teams to execute repair strategies and process improvements.
Support training efforts for operators and junior technicians in basic troubleshooting and safe equipment use.
Follow site safety protocols and regulatory guidelines (OSHA, FDA, EPA) while maintaining clean and organized workspaces.
Contribute to special projects and assist in the implementation of new equipment or system upgrades.
Qualifications:
High school diploma or equivalent with at least 2–3 years of hands-on experience in an industrial maintenance role.
Technical education (certification, associate’s, or bachelor’s) in a mechanical, electrical, or automation-related field is strongly .
Proven ability to diagnose and repair systems involving PLCs (preferably Allen-Bradley), pneumatic circuits, motor control systems, and 3-phase electrical setups (480V).
Experience working in a fast-paced, automated manufacturing or packaging environment.
Basic computer literacy, including familiarity with software such as Microsoft Office.
Physical ability to lift up to 50 lbs and navigate a large production floor on foot.
Familiarity with troubleshooting software, HMI interfaces, or industrial networking is a plus.
