Job Description
TITLE : Product Engineering Manager – Hydraulics (R2025-1234)
DUTIES : Brake Parts Inc LLC seeks a Product Engineering Manager – Hydraulics based out of our office at 1600 N Industrial Drive, McHenry, IL 60050.This is a hybrid position whereby the employee will work both from home and from the aforementioned office address. Hence, the employee must live within a reasonable commuting distance of the aforementioned office address. This position requires domestic travel up to 5% of the time.
Development of the Hydraulic product line with emphasis on new number development. Generate new number/program/part introductions; ensuring data entry is complete in required systems and all communications are created and executed timely, including developing point of sale material, catalog updates in partnership with marketing and sales. Work extensively with other departments, vendors, customers to coordinate the release of all parts to all brands. Ensure timely workflow process of OE part numbers. Develop competitive analysis and disseminate the information to Sales, Catalog, and customers as required. Identify new market and product opportunities, and develop market strategies to capitalize opportunities. Work with Pricing for competitive positioning to optimize margins. Provide marketing and business plan support as requested. Work with Engineering, Packaging, Manufacturing and Sourcing to identify cost reductions and synergies. Must be adaptable to changing business systems and functionality. Execute special projects as assigned. Support Vice President Product Development by compiling data, preparing and distributing reports, and communicating with customers and sales staff.
REQUIREMENTS:
Master’s degree in Mechanical Engineering and 36 months of experience in job offered or related.
Experience must include: Three years of experience with product management and engineering in automotive aftermarket; experience with automotive Original Equipment or Aftermarket; and experience with Excel, Word, and PowerPoint. Domestic travel required up to 5%.
Alternative Requirements
: Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering with 60 months of experience in job offered or related.
Experience must include: Three years of experience with product management and engineering in automotive aftermarket; experience with automotive Original Equipment or Aftermarket; and experience with Excel, Word, and PowerPoint. Domestic travel required up to 5%.
