We are seeking an onsite
Systems Administrator
to support our government client in Columbia, SC. This position will require administering, monitoring, and maintaining enterprise IT systems and infrastructure to ensure performance, security, and compliance across a multi-site environment.
Primary Roles and Responsibilities:
Perform ongoing administration and monitoring of enterprise management systems. Maintain system health through regular troubleshooting, issue resolution, and system optimization. Apply and manage system security patches and updates for hardware and software. Manage data storage, retrieval, backup, and replication operations, including the creation, modification, and verification of backup jobs. Conduct regular hardware/software upgrades and ensure documentation is current. Provide research and technical assistance in resolving configuration issues and system conflicts. Proven experience supporting enterprise-wide SCCM deployments. Proficient in monitoring and maintaining enterprise management tools such as HP SIM, SolarWinds, CommVault, vCenter, NICE Vision Control Net, EVOIP Nagios, SCCM, SCSM, SCOM, Splunk, Cisco PRIME, Dell OpenManage Essentials, and SharePoint-based solutions. Strong background in supporting enterprise Microsoft Active Directory environments. Solid understanding of enterprise server technologies, particularly Microsoft Server OS and related hardware/software. Capable of managing enterprise-wide system upgrades and ensuring compliance with IT standards. Experience monitoring systems for issues, compliance, and performance metrics. Manage DNS, Organizational Units, Active Directory Sites and Subnets, GPOs, ACLs, and user account lifecycle (creation, disabling, deletion). Administer domain controller groups and perform system backup and recovery tasks. Monitoring systems and access controls. Supporting hardware installations, cabling, equipment relocations, power management, and backup media handling. Assisting with OS configurations, system installations/upgrades, and recovery operations under remote guidance. Demonstrated experience with enterprise-level backup, restore, and disaster recovery processes. Required Education, Knowledge, and Experience:
Associate's Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field; OR Microsoft Technology Associate (MTA) certification in IT Infrastructure; OR Minimum of 2 years of experience supporting Windows Active Directory, networking, and IT hardware in an enterprise or multi-site environment.
