Job Description

Primary Objectives Responsible for designing and implementing assembly processes, ensuring high part quality, and achieving seamless integration into full-scale production. Specific Responsibilities

Design and develop assembly tooling and equipment tailored to new project requirements. Establish and validate assembly processes to meet stringent part quality standards. Participate in buy-off activities to ensure new equipment and processes meet performance criteria and customer expectations. Analyze and optimize cycle times to achieve production targets and maintain efficiency. Develop comprehensive job instructions and operator guides to ensure safe and consistent operations. Collaborate with homeline operations and project teams to integrate new assembly processes smoothly into the overall production system. Provide technical support during the launch phase, troubleshooting issues and driving continuous improvement. Act as a key technical liaison for cross-functional teams involved in the new project launch, ensuring alignment and successful implementation. Qualifications

Requirements

Bachelor's degree in engineering field required. 5+ years of experience with operation of robotic material transfer and assembly operations (to include mechanical, electrical, and electronic maintenance, PLC programming, servo drive programming and troubleshooting) 3+ years of experience in an assembly engineering or manufacturing engineering role, preferably in automotive or industrial manufacturing. Electrical design, installation and startup of automated stamping and assembly equipment Proficiency in CAD software and general computer applications (MS Office, project management tools, etc.) Training and experience in instrumentation, welding, mechanical, pneumatic and hydraulic controls Strong understanding of part quality standards, cycle time optimization, and buy-off procedures. Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to troubleshoot and resolve assembly-related issues quickly.
