About the Opportunity
Talent Depot is seeking an accomplished, results-driven software engineering leader to join a highly specialized R&D team supporting national security defense. You'll work alongside top-tier electrical engineers, mathematicians, and computer scientists to design, build, and deploy advanced geolocation and digital communications systems with real-world impact.
This is an opportunity to contribute across all engineering lifecycle phases-from architecture and development to deployment and operations-while receiving mission feedback directly from end users in the field.
Core Responsibilities Architect, develop, and maintain fully integrated software solutions Build infrastructure for seamless integration with internal and third-party services Design scalable APIs and ensure interoperability across applications Collaborate with engineers, product managers, designers, and external stakeholders Provide mentorship and technical leadership to junior team members Stay current with emerging technologies and implement innovative solutions Lead Agile development processes with DevOps and CI/CD best practices Engage in system-level work: development, integration, test, deployment, and O&M Requirements Required Qualifications
Bachelor's, Master's, or PhD in Computer Science or Computer Engineering 15-25 years of experience in software engineering Expert-level proficiency in
Golang Strong background in data structures, algorithms, and modern design patterns Experience designing enterprise-level software systems Advanced experience with internal/external APIs and third-party integrations Highly proficient in modern software engineering practices (testability, scalability, maintainability) Must hold
active TS/SCI clearance U.S. citizenship required
due to government security clearance requirements Preferred Qualifications
Proven experience leading and mentoring engineering teams Proficiency in
C++ and Python
within Linux environments Knowledge of
AWS
or other cloud platforms Familiarity with
JavaScript
frameworks such as Vue.js or React Hands-on experience with
Docker, Kubernetes, GitLab, CVE mitigations, CI/CD Experience automating workflows at the enterprise level Strong understanding of Agile and DevOps methodologies Benefits Why This Role Stands Out
