Qualifications include: Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Drafting, GIS, Data Management, or similar field of study, or equivalent years of experience and/or combination of education and experience will be considered. Associate degree with four years minimum of relevant working experience OR eight years minimum of relevant working experience. Exhibited knowledge of GIS and Drafting processes, programs and data integrity. Ability to demonstrate and maintain a good safety record. Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills. Strong interpersonal communication skills. Ability to work independently and as part of a team. Highly organized and detail-oriented. Ability to multi-task with exceptional time management skills. Ability to work in a fast paced and deadline driven environment. Attention to detail and ability to work independently with minimal supervision. Ability to pass a drug test and a background check. Basic understanding of ACAD Plant, ArcGIS software and Esri Field Maps is a plus. Understanding of spatial database structure is a benefit, understanding of database management and data integrity is a bonus. Ability to read prints and drawings is beneficial. Knowledge of gas design parameters and codes is a plus. Knowledge and experience with database security, development and data integrity is desired. Duties include: Assist Gas Transmission Department with projects and processes to identify and develop efficiencies. Learn and use basic Autodesk software, to include AutoCAD Plant 3D and AutoCAD Civil3D as to assist with portions of as-built drawings, including schematic drawing updates. Enter data into CADWorx Plant Professional and or AutoCAD Plant 3D software from as-built documentation. Generate reports from Cadworx and AutoCAD drawings to Excel spreadsheets and complete comparison of data. Learn and update schematic system portfolios as schematic updates arise from drawing as-built. Assist with and analyze drafting backlog to prioritize organizational needs. Assist in building the Station Layout spreadsheet which requires research and analysis of projects and building portfolios of all Gas Transmission valve assemblies. Assist with GIS functions, as requested, which include data entry, generating reports and execution of GIS tools. Assist GIS with database structure, schema and data integrity. Run reports for project status and completion of projects. Correct GPS data and upload to AutoCAD file. Adhere to company safety standards and the Code of Business Conduct & Ethics. Ensure all actions are consistent with NorthWestern Energy's values, mission, and strategic business objectives.
