Tier 2 Systems Administrator
We are seeking a Tier 2 Information Systems Technician to provide IaaS Windows/UNIX/Linux/VMware system administration, maintenance, and engineering support. The technician will maintain, troubleshoot, and repair high-priority, mission-critical operational systems to ensure a high level of availability for the customer. This full-time position operates on an 8x5 schedule with periodic after-hours call-in responsibility as needed. Clearance Requirements
Active and in-scope United States TS/SSCI with CI polygraph security clearance Qualified applicants may be subject to a security investigation and must meet minimum qualifications for access to classified information Must have a current DODI 8570.1-M IAT Level II certification (i.e., Security+ CE) Location

Experience with VMware virtualization and cloud computing technology and its associated products (vSphere, vCenter, VRa, vROP, etc.) Experience in Linux or UNIX systems administration Experience configuring domain information utilities: Active Directory, Centrify, LDAP, and DNS Background in troubleshooting and debugging applications, and performing software application maintenance on a variety of operating systems (Windows, RHEL, CentOS, etc.) Understanding of operating system concepts such as swapping and paging, inter-process communications, and devices and device drivers Ability to frequently interact directly with the customer and work effectively in a real-time operational environment Strong communication skills to effectively and accurately exchange technical information Ability to work under pressure to restore high-priority systems to full operations Proactive in addressing technical issues, reconciling tickets, and providing technical support to customers Availability to work after hours on a call-in basis Desired Skills
Experience with storage products from Oracle/Sun/STK, EMC, IBM, NetApp, DDN, or the Hitachi Virtual Storage Platform (VSP) Background in backup and recovery using EMC Avamar, EMC Networker, Veritas Netbackup Ability to navigate, debug, and modify programs in an advanced programming language Ability to write PERL, Python, and shell scripts Working knowledge of thin-client technologies Experience designing, implementing, and troubleshooting Public Key Infrastructure (PKI) Possession of a VMware Certified Professional (VCP) certificate Possession of a RedHat Linux certification Benefits
