The Assistant Supervisor, GW Safe Ride provides functional supervision and operational support for the universitys Safe Ride driver services.

The core responsibilities of this role are:

Assisting with the day-to-day functional supervision of GW Safe Ride drivers Enforcing operating procedures and service protocols Monitoring the Safe Ride reservation system dashboard and redirecting drivers as needed Escalating complaints related to transportation services Partnering with the supervisor to prepare driver schedules Acting as the supervisor in their absence Participating in the training and onboarding of drivers based on assessed needs Ensuring completion of vehicle pre- and post-trip inspections Providing excellent customer service at all times Performing driving duties as needed to cover open shifts or high-volume periods

This position will also participate in the current and future training of drivers based on needs assessment, will ensure vehicle pre- and post-trip inspections are done, and will work to provide excellent customer service at all times. This role may also perform the duties of lower positions as necessary, including driving activity to cover open shifts and/or during heavy reservation periods.

Performs other related duties as assigned. The omission of specific duties does not preclude the supervisor from assigning duties that are logically related to the position.

Minimum Qualifications: Qualified candidates will hold a High school diploma/ GED , or equivalent combination of training and experience plus 3 years of relevant professional experience, or, a Bachelors degree or higher in a relevant area of study. Degree must be conferred by the start date of the position. Degree requirements may be substituted with an equivalent combination of education, training and experience.
