About SkillBridge JT4 is partnered with the U.S. Department of Defense's SkillBridge Program, providing internship opportunities for transitioning military personnel during their final 6 months of service. The program prepares participants for civilian roles post-separation. Note: Open only to transitioning military members; non-service members are not eligible.
The SkillBridge System Administrator Internship is a 60-90 day on-the-job training experience aimed at preparing service members for a full-time system administrator position. Interns will follow a structured training plan with weekly tasks and goals. JT4 is not obligated to hire interns or continue the internship if expectations are not met.
About JT4 JT4, LLC provides engineering and technical support to test ranges for the U.S. Air Force, Space Force, and Navy. We develop and maintain test environments to prepare our nation's military assets for current and future challenges.
Job Summary - Essential Functions Evaluates system specifications, configures systems, maintains hardware/software compatibility, and manages workstations and Windows OS for stability.
Responsibilities include:
Operating and securing MS Windows server software, including security and backups Managing network requirements and troubleshooting LAN hardware Organizing directory structures and training staff Managing Document Management Systems and configuration procedures Designing and maintaining web pages Specifying hardware and tracking equipment Serving as point of contact for issues and updates Recommending hardware/software upgrades and performing system upgrades Providing operational status reports Completing assignments with independence and ingenuity Additional Responsibilities Implement initiatives, coordinate with other teams, and adhere to operational, safety, and environmental policies.
Working Conditions Office environment, occasional lifting, continuous computer use, and mental alertness required.
Requirements Associates degree or higher in IT or related field, 3+ years of experience, knowledge of Windows server environments, planning skills, ability to repair systems, and ability to obtain security clearance. Valid drivers license required.
