The Sr. Software Engineer will partner in an agile team environment to design, develop, code, test and debug new software or significant enhancements to existing software of moderate complexity. Develop solutions across many disciplines and be responsible for producing and explaining solutions in the form of documented system requirements. This is a work from home position available from any US-based location. You must be a US Citizen or Permanent Resident/Green Card for consideration. The main responsibilities include: Partnering in an Agile Scrum team environment to design, develop, code, test, debug, and support in-production new software or significant enhancements to existing software. Working closely with business partners and technical staff to create technical solutions that meet business and technical requirements. Collaborating with product developers in an agile team to define and implement effective and efficient automated tests. Documenting own work to promote transparency and reuse. Building production-quality enterprise-grade systems that achieve target SLAs for scalability, reliability, and performance on an agreed-upon schedule. Actively participating in code review, unit testing, and continuous integration processes. Ensuring code quality through code reviews, adherence to coding standards, and promotion of best practices. Mentoring junior and mid-level engineers, providing guidance and fostering their professional growth. Designing, developing, and implementing software solutions, ensuring they are scalable, maintainable, and efficient. Collaborating with cross-functional teams, including product managers, designers, and QA, to define requirements and deliver solutions. Performing software testing and quality assurance to ensure software functionality and performance. Contributing to strategic planning and decision-making related to software development and technology. Prioritizing and handling multiple concurrent projects and efforts. Demonstrating accountability for successful completion of assignments and tasks. Staying updated with the latest industry trends, technologies, and programming standards. Identifying and solving complex problems, making data-driven decisions, and mitigating risks. What we look for in a candidate includes: 6+ years of experience with a bachelor's degree or equivalent education and experience (Computer Science or similar is preferred). 4+ years of experience with a master's degree. Working knowledge of software development methodologies, standards, and coding best practices. Experience in Agile practices, including planning and grooming, sprint management, daily standup, and retrospective participation. 5+ years development experience with .NET, Java Spring boot, Kubernetes. Experience with Oracle RDBMS, NoSQL, writing PL/SQL, Kafka. Familiarity with modern technologies, including emerging technologies and industry trends, particularly within their domain of expertise (e.g., cloud platforms, Kubernetes, AI/ML, DevOps). Experience with Unix/Linux shell scripting. Experience in developing scalable high-performance systems to support high data volume processing. Compensation: This information reflects the anticipated base salary range for this position based on current national data. Minimums and maximums may vary based on location. Individual pay is based on skills, experience and other relevant factors. Location based pay ranges: $82,969 - $110,625 in these states: AL, AR, AZ, FL, GA, IA, ID, IN, KS, KY, LA, ME, MO, MS, MT, ND, NE, NM, OH, OK, PA, SC, SD, TN, UT, VT, WI, WV, and WY. $87,117 - $116,156 in these states: CO, HI, MI, MN, NC, NH, NV, OR, and RI. $91,266 - $121,688 in these states: AK, CA, CT, DC, DE, IL, MA, MD, NJ, NY, TX, VA, and WA.
