IT Support Specialist
This company is seeking a proactive and technically adept
IT Support Specialist
their team. In this role, you'll deliver vital technical support to both our creative and administrative teams, helping to maintain seamless day-to-day IT operations. The company is located in
Brooklyn, NY and will be a hybrid model of 2 days onsite a week.
What You Will Be Doing: Serve as the first point of contact for in-office IT support, resolving hardware, software, and network issues. Troubleshoot desktops, laptops, mobile devices, and printers to ensure minimal downtime. Log, track, and close helpdesk tickets with clear documentation and timely resolutions. Provide occasional after-hours and on-call support when required. Assist with onboarding and workstation setup for new employees, including configuring hardware and installing software. Manage software installations, updates, and upgrades to support business operations. Help maintain network stability and troubleshoot connectivity issues, including Wi-Fi and VPN access. Assist with user account management, ensuring secure access and permissions across systems. Maintain accurate inventory records for IT equipment, peripherals, and software licenses. Support hardware procurement and lifecycle management, including setup, upgrades, and decommissioning. Contribute to the implementation of basic cybersecurity practices, including antivirus updates, patching, and firewall oversight. Provide specialized support for creative applications such as Adobe Creative Cloud and video editing tools. Support backup processes and ensure data recovery mechanisms are functioning properly. Participate in disaster recovery planning and testing activities. Maintain internal documentation for troubleshooting, configurations, and IT best practices. Required Skills & Experience:
2-3 years in an IT support role, preferably within a creative or dynamic work environment. Strong knowledge of MacOS and foundational networking concepts (VPN, LAN, Wi-Fi). Experience supporting tools like Adobe Creative Cloud is a plus. Strong diagnostic and problem-solving abilities. Clear communicator with the ability to translate technical jargon into user-friendly language. Detail-oriented with excellent multitasking and prioritization skills. Collaborative, customer-focused, and eager to support others with patience and professionalism.
