Job Description:
The University of Mount Saint Vincent, invites applications for the position of Assistant Dean in its ACBSP-accredited School of Business. This is a one-year appointment beginning in Fall 2025. Reporting directly to the Dean of the School of Business, the Assistant Dean will play a key role in supporting the academic and administrative functions of the School. The ideal candidate will demonstrate a strong student-centered focus and a commitment to academic excellence.
Responsibilities:
Advise and mentor students on academic progress and professional development
Oversee academic probation processes and facilitate student resolution cases
Collect, analyze, and report data for program assessment and accreditation
Contribute written content and compile documentation for accreditation reports
Support daily School operations through effective administrative coordination
Develop and manage semester course schedules
Vet, hire, and onboard adjunct and new faculty members
Conduct classroom observations and evaluations of existing faculty
Coordinate honor society membership, eligibility, and communications
Plan and execute School events, including logistics and outreach
Track and maintain records of student internships and job placements
Requirements
Undergraduate degree in Business or a related field required; M.B.A. preferred
Candidates with a terminal degree may be considered for advancement to Associate Dean
Demonstrated commitment to student success and engagement
Proficiency in academic assessment, accreditation standards, and reporting requirements
Teaching experience at the undergraduate or graduate level preferred
Professional experience in the business field is desirable

The allotted salary range is $80,000 - $90,000
