Qualis LLC is seeking a talented Systems Engineer II to support our government customer in Colorado Springs, CO in support of the SWDC program. The Specialized Warfighter Development Contract (SWDC) program at Northrop Grumman Space Systems is looking for you to join our team as a Systems Engineer II on the SWDC Systems Engineering team out of Colorado Springs, CO.
Essential Duties:
The candidate will work in a team environment designing, developing, testing, documenting, and integrating simulation products and services for the Warfighter Simulation and Services (WSS) Agile Release Train (ART).
Primary responsibilities include developing requirements, testing new capabilities, documenting new features, and analyzing simulation performance.
Additional responsibilities could include interfacing with WSS customers via event support and training events, as well as presenting technical briefings to WSS stakeholders.
Requirements
Required Qualifications:
Bachelors in a STEM field and 2 years of experience or a Masters in a STEM field and 0 years of experience
Must have an active DoD Secret clearance
Ability to travel up to 10%
Proficient with Microsoft Office and Atlassian (Jira/Confluence) tool suites
Experienced with complex software systems
Experienced with development lifecycles, including the V-model of the systems engineering process
Familiarity with the Missile Defense System and mission
High proficiency of technical problem solving
Excellent verbal and written communication skills to include creating documentation during development
Ability to write scripts and automate processes (quality control checks, data formatting, document publication, etc.)
Desired Qualifications:
Software development experience
Modeling and Simulation experience (configuring, executing, and analyzing results)
Model Based Systems Engineering experience (SysML/UML, Cameo)
Program experience within the Missile Defense Agency elements (GMD, Aegis BMD, C2BMC, etc.)
Experience developing sophisticated software within Agile or SAFe
Experience with Unix/Linux operating systems
Certifications: INCOSE ASEP, OCSMP - MU, Systems Engineering Graduate Certificate Program from an accredited university, Agile Scrum, SAFe
Experience in applying model-based methodologies to process management

Actual compensation will be determined based on several factors permitted by law.
