Job Title: AY Jet Pumps Assembler
Location: AY Pump Warehouse - 1809 Adel Street, Janesville, WI
Division: Baker Water Systems - AY McDonald Pumps
Reports To: Warehouse Supervisor or Manufacturing Lead
Position Summary:
The AY Jet Pumps Assembler is responsible for assembling shallow well and deep well jet pump systems with precision and care at Baker Manufacturing's new AY Pump Warehouse. This role plays a key part in supporting aftermarket fulfillment and small-batch production for AY McDonald's water system products.
Key Responsibilities: • Assemble jet pump units, including motors, pump bodies, diffusers, impellers, and ejectors using hand and power tools. • Follow detailed work instructions, bills of materials (BOMs), and blueprints to ensure proper component fit, torque, and alignment. • Perform quality checks at various stages of assembly and conduct final product testing. • Use gauges, calipers, and other tools to verify specifications and tolerances. • Maintain accurate production records and update order status in the system as needed. • Assist in staging and organizing components and finished goods. • Work closely with the receiving, shipping, and inventory teams to support flow through the warehouse. • Adhere to all safety procedures and contribute to a clean, well-organized work area. • Participate in team meetings, lean manufacturing practices, and continuous improvement efforts. • Perform other duties as needed to support production and warehouse operations.
Qualifications: • High school diploma or GED preffered. • Mechanical experience or technical training preferred. • Ability to read and interpret technical drawings, instructions, and assembly documentation. • Familiarity with electric motors, water pump systems, or plumbing-related assemblies is a plus. • Comfortable using torque wrenches, pneumatic tools, and general hand tools. • Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and stand or move throughout an 8-10 hour shift. • Strong attention to detail, reliability, and teamwork.
Work Environment: • Located in a modern warehouse and light assembly environment dedicated to AY McDonald Pumps. • Combination of bench assembly and workbench-based manufacturing tasks. • May involve occasional schedule flexibility during startup or periods of high demand.
Moderate to Loud Environment.
OT May be Required
6am-3:30pm Overtime may be required
