Technical Product Owner Contract/Contract to Hire Atlanta, GA

Preferred Qualifications:

7+ years of hands-on experience in business analysis, product development, or related fields. Strong understanding of Agile methodologies with proven ability to apply Agile principles throughout the software development lifecycle. Proven experience in product development-designing, building, and launching new products, technologies, or services from concept through production. Expertise in requirements analysis; skilled in eliciting, analyzing, and documenting both functional and non-functional requirements to ensure project success. Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to effectively engage technical and non-technical stakeholders. Strong planning, organizational, and facilitation skills. Demonstrated ownership and accountability; willingness to become a subject matter expert for your applications and champion their performance and development. Adaptable and flexible in response to changing business needs and priorities. Solid understanding of Agile and SDLC development methodologies. Experience in the airline industry or exposure to business process re-engineering is a plus. Previous experience working with Agile teams in a fast-paced environment is desirable.

Key Responsibilities:

Conduct in-depth analysis of current systems, processes, and business objectives to align with product goals. Collaborate with Product Managers and SMEs to prioritize feature development based on business value. Define and document epics and features; elaborate user stories and scenarios that capture both functional and non-functional requirements. Deliver business requirements through a variety of formats including epics, features, user scenarios, acceptance criteria, process flows, wireframes, mockups, and demos. Partner with cross-functional teams within a Scrum framework to drive product development. Lead and document workshops to define new features, refine requirements, and strategize project direction. Participate in testing activities; track bugs, monitor enhancements, and ensure issue resolution before production release. Effectively manage multiple initiatives and adjust to shifting priorities. Leverage data and analysis to communicate solution impact and guide decision-making. Contribute to the development of business logic and performance metrics used in decision-support tools. Define clear problem statements, root cause analyses, and measurable improvement goals. Structure recommendations and support them with data to present well-reasoned business cases. Provide input to project planning, including scope definition and effort estimation. Help identify project risks and develop mitigation strategies. Foster strong internal relationships by working closely with business unit leaders and stakeholders.
