Description

Are you passionate about building foundational technology that transforms how the world's largest e-commerce company manages its supply chain? At Amazon's SCOT Inbound Systems organization, we believe replenishment is a foundational lever for delivering customer trust, improving operational efficiency, and accelerating Amazon's flywheel at scale. We are seeking a Principal Technical Product Manager to lead our vision of creating a globally extensible, intelligent supply chain platform.

Our team leads the unification of replenishment logic and systems across Amazon's Grocery and Core domains. We specialize in Amazon's hub-and-spoke replenishment model, optimized for regional networks serving high-velocity, in-stock-sensitive inventory. Our systems enable sophisticated capabilities including multi-stop routing, temperature- and bin-specific placement, packaging-aware allocation, and truck-level planning that accounts for time zone constraints and cross-temperature fungibility.

As a Principal PMT, you will drive cross-domain alignment of sourcing logic, perishability handling, pack configurations, and vendor constraints. You'll serve as the lead on multi-org initiatives, helping lay the foundation for a unified, extensible replenishment platform. In this role, you will:

Create and own the strategic vision for unifying replenishment systems across Grocery and Core domains, driving alignment across multiple senior stakeholders and organizations

Lead large-scale, complex technical initiatives that span multiple teams and organizations

Architect solutions that blend policy logic, simulation, and runtime automation to deliver explainable decisions and deepen operator trust

Drive organizational transformation by establishing new operating models and governance structures

Define and execute platform strategy that reduces tech sprawl while enabling faster launches for Amazon's evolving fulfillment models

Key job responsibilities

Own the end-to-end strategy and execution of major cross-organizational technical initiatives

Drive architectural decisions that enable reusable system components and reduce complexity

Build consensus among senior leaders and stakeholders across multiple organizations

Mentor other product managers and help shape the product organization's culture and practices

Identify and mitigate risks in cross-domain replenishment integration, including system dependencies, business performance, and operational impact

Create frameworks for measuring success and driving continuous improvement

Present strategic recommendations to VP-level leadership and gain buy-in for transformational changes

Basic Qualifications

Bachelor's degree

10+ years of technical product or program management experience

Experience leading cross-organizational programs and setting and holding teams and individuals to timelines and deliverables without explicit authority

Experience leading engineering discussions around technology decisions and strategy related to a product

Experience working with and influencing senior level stakeholders

Preferred Qualifications

MBA

Deep understanding of supply chain systems and operations

Track record of driving technical standardization across multiple domains

Experience with machine learning and optimization systems
