The

Traction Motor Assembler

is responsible for assembling, inspecting, testing, and repairing traction motors. This role requires a strong mechanical aptitude, attention to detail, and the ability to follow technical specifications and assembly procedures.

Here's What You'll Do: Assemble traction motors and related components according to blueprints, work instructions, and engineering specifications. Perform sub-assembly of motor components such as armatures, stators, rotors, and brush holders. Use hand tools, power tools, hoists, and specialized machinery to complete assemblies. Inspect and measure components to verify conformance to quality standards using precision instruments. Install bearings, seals, electrical windings, and insulation systems. Operate test equipment to ensure proper performance of completed motors. Diagnose and troubleshoot assembly issues or mechanical defects. Maintain accurate documentation and production records. Follow all safety protocols and contribute to a safe work environment. Collaborate with engineers and quality control personnel to resolve technical problems. Here's What You'll Need:

High school diploma or equivalent required. Technical certification or vocational training in mechanical or electrical assembly preferred 1-3 years of experience in industrial assembly, preferably in motor or electrical equipment manufacturing Strong mechanical and electrical assembly skills Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and wiring diagrams Proficient with hand and power tools Good understanding of safety practices in a manufacturing environment Attention to detail and commitment to quality
