This position will serve a federal law enforcement agency based in Clarksburg, WV.
Primary Responsibilities:
Write and maintain robust source code.
Develop and maintain software applications and frameworks for software releases.
Perform programming, documentation, configuration management, testing, and debugging.
Demonstrate expertise in Java and JavaScript programming languages.
Modify and enhance computer applications or specialized utility programs.
Analyze user needs and develop tailored software solutions.
Utilize foundational principles and theories in product and process development.
Implement computer science principles, engineering techniques, and mathematical analysis in assignments.
Apply established processes, practices, and procedures in technical work.
Complete tasks that require practical experience and hands-on training.
Work under guidance from senior developers.
Basic Qualifications:
A BS degree in Software Engineering, Computer Science, Information Systems Management, or a related discipline, or equivalent experience with less than 2 years of relevant experience.
Additional years of experience may substitute for formal education.
Ability to collaborate effectively within a small team environment.
Excellent communication skills.
U.S. Citizenship is essential.
DOD Secret Clearance is required.
Preferred Qualifications:
Experience in software product development.
Familiarity with Agile methodologies.
Proficiency with software development tools such as Eclipse, IntelliJ, Jira, and Confluence.
Knowledge of languages/frameworks including Java, JavaScript, Python, and React.
Experience with source control tools like Git.
