Position Summary
: The Assembler - Kits will assemble packaging components as directed by a drawing and ready it for shipment. They will also organize assorted inventory for other types of assemblers.
Essential Functions: Detailed Assembling of Packaging Components. Fold, glue tape or stich corrugated items as needed. Assemble and glue foam items. Assemble and clean plastic corrugated items. Cleaning includes wiping down and visual checks- no clean room required. Assembles miscellaneous items as required. Quality Checks and Cost Savings Accurate and efficient kit assembly to decrease shipment errors. Returns unused material from work order to stock. Maintain clean and organized work area. Quality check kits for accuracy. Safe and Efficient Facility Team Member Address and report all equipment defects or maintenance needs to maintain safe and efficient use. Follow all procedures, policies and know the equipment before using it. Speak up when observing something that may be unsafe or someone performing unsafe acts. Efficiently perform work according to standard operating procedures. Work together with other team members to accomplish tasks safely in a fast-paced production environment. Education/Knowledge/Skill Requirements:
Ability to read, write, and communicate in English Basic computer skills needed to log in and out of jobs with employee identification number Ability to learn new software Ability to work independently with little supervision while meeting deadlines Must be able to work at a steady pace in a fast-paced work environment Ability to work as a member of a high performing production team Ability to read a tape measure in ¼ and ⅛ gradients
