The School of Pharmacy at Virginia Commonwealth University (VCU) is seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Part-Time Lab and Research Technician to support ongoing research activities. Key Responsibilities
The School of Pharmacy, Department of Medicinal Chemistry invites you to apply for our Hourly Lab & Research Technician position.
Organize and maintain laboratory space and inventory Order supplies and reagents Prepare buffers, solutions, and media Autoclave materials Assist with molecular biology experiments (e.g., PCR, SDS-PAGE), if qualified Willingness to receive training and participate in basic animal-related experiments Availability to work weekends as needed Required Qualifications
Previous laboratory experience, particularly in molecular biology techniques Ability to work independently and as part of a team Interest or experience in animal research Self-motivated Demonstrated experience working in and fostering an environment of respect, professionalism and civility with a population of faculty, staff, and students from various backgrounds and experiences, or a commitment to do so as a faculty member at VCU.
Salary Range: $16.00-$25.00
