ABOUT THIS ROLE

Audible is seeking a Product Manager, Content Discovery to define and build critical experiences that will help the right users find the right content at the right time. As part of the Content Discovery team, which encompasses Search, Personalization and Browse, you will help connect listeners with content they can fall in love with, and introduce them to new content that can broaden their horizons. Your mission will be to build features that delight every Audible member by making the process of finding their own content intuitive, effortless, and compelling.

As a Product Manager - Tech, you will...

Work with data science teams to evaluate the effectiveness of ML models offline using metrics such as precision, NDCG, etc

Execute the content discovery roadmap with clearly articulated and well measured goals

Define and execute on projects that improve the relevance, quality, and diversity of our algorithms

Drive understanding across Audible of how and where generative AI-based models can bolster content discovery and engagement

Collaborate and coordinate with data science and engineering teams on objectives and business requirements

Contribute to the worldwide content discovery product strategy/roadmap

Collaborate with stakeholders across Audible to optimize machine learning experiments and measure firmly understood hypotheses and business objectives

Plan and prioritize the backlog for development teams to ensure maximum value in deliverables

Translate inputs and business needs into detailed product requirements documents and user stories for engineering teams to execute

Basic Qualifications

Bachelor's Degree in a technical, analytical or related field

Experience in data driven hypothesis testing and experimentation

Experience working with design teams to improve the user experience for customer facing products/features

3+ years of customer-facing product development and product management, including defining, launching, and optimizing product and services experience

Preferred Qualifications

Relevant professional experience in a consumer-facing machine learning oriented product management role

Experience with generative AI, large language models, and their applications in customer-facing experiences

Experience with AI/ML solutions for search, browse, or content recommendation features

Content streaming/media/entertainment industry experience (books, music, movies, etc.)

Ability to evaluate and recognize the benefits and limitations of various AI/ML models

Data analytics and interpretation skills

Team player: ability to bring varying functional teams together

Our compensation reflects the cost of labor across several US geographic markets. The base pay for this position ranges from $116,300/year in our lowest geographic market up to $201,100/year in our highest geographic market. Pay is based on a number of factors including market location and may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. Amazon is a total compensation company. Dependent on the position offered, equity, sign-on payments, and other forms of compensation may be provided as part of a total compensation package, in addition to a full range of medical, financial, and/or other benefits.
