Summary:

The main function of a quality technician is to inspect and test processed, machined, fabricated or assembled parts or products for defect, wear, and deviations from specifications.

Job Responsibilities:

Discard or reject products, materials, and equipment not meeting specifications.

Analyze and interpret blueprints, data, manuals, and other materials to determine specifications, inspection and testing procedures, adjustment and certification methods, formulas, and measuring instruments required.

Inspect, test, or measure materials, products, installations, and work for conformance to specifications.

Record inspection or test data, such as weights, temperatures, grades, or moisture content, and quantities inspected or graded.

Mark items with details such as grade and acceptance or rejection status.

Measure dimensions of products to verify conformance to specifications, using measuring instruments such as rulers, calipers, gauges, or micrometers.

Analyze test data and perform necessary computations to determine test results.

Skills:

Creativity, verbal and written communication skills, analytical and problem-solving ability.

Team player and detail-oriented.

Knowledge of raw materials, production processes, quality control, costs, and other techniques for maximizing the effective manufacture and distribution of goods.

Basic knowledge of machines and tools, including their designs, uses, repair, and maintenance.

Education/Experience:

Associate's degree or equivalent experience/training required.

2-4 years of experience required.

Necessary Skills / Attributes:

• Work generally performed in an office, lab, warehouse, or user environment.

• High level of visual acuity, numeric/character distinction, and moderate color distinction for accurate test equipment operation, for information analysis, and error recognition. High hand/finger dexterity with fine motor coordination skills to perform electronic component repair work.

• Machines, tools, equipment, and work aids representative and commonly associated with electronic component test, assembly, and repair work, including test equipment, testing devices, technician hand tools, cables, etc; first aid kit is available and prescription safety glasses are required in certain test areas.

• May require working additional hours beyond normal schedule. Travel varies depending on position. Consistently demonstrates a commitment to policies and procedures, including but not limited to, attendance, confidentiality, conflict of interest, and ethical responsibilities.

Background/Requirements:

• English (Korean is plus)

• Associate Degree or above in Electrical, Mechanical, Electronics Engineering, or Analytics

• At least two years of experience with selection, maintenance, and application of electronic and test equipment (spectrum analyzers, X-Ray, CT, Digital microscope) preferred.

• Prior experience in the mobile industry preferred. Strong Project Management skills and the ability to prioritize in a complex working environment. Comprehensive use of Microsoft Office applications operating in a Windows XP or NT LAN/WAN environment. Demonstrated ability to manage multiple projects.

• The ability to develop and maintain excellent working relationships with multiple levels within the company and with external contacts, including customers, authorized service agents, sales & equipment service representatives, etc.

• Must be able to influence others in acceptance, approval, and provide technical clarification.

The ability to gather and analyze data from multiple sources, prepare spreadsheets, charts, graphs, and tables of information, and to plan and prioritize multiple work assignments.
