Lead Data Architect Remote (CST or EST) 6+ months

We are seeking a seasoned Lead Data Architect to design, develop, and maintain enterprise-wide data architecture. This individual will play a key role in shaping data strategies, driving cloud-based solutions, and enabling advanced analytics across core domains including Customer, Products, Employees, Vendors, and Assets.

Key Responsibilities: Define and uphold enterprise data architecture standards, models, and principles aligned with business goals Lead data strategy initiatives focused on data quality, integration, master data management, identity resolution, security, and compliance rchitect scalable data solutions using Azure SQL Server, Data Fabric, Snowflake, DBT, Salesforce Data Cloud, and other modern technologies Enhance interoperability between Salesforce Clouds (Sales, Billing, Service, Marketing, Experience) and data platforms Partner with the Data Governance team to implement governance frameworks, leveraging tools like Alation for metadata management Oversee Master Data Management (MDM) strategies to ensure consistency and reliability across domains Design identity resolution (IDR) solutions to unify data across platforms Collaborate with cybersecurity and compliance teams to implement robust data security and privacy standards Drive cloud migration strategies within Azure and Snowflake ecosystems Provide guidance on transactional data architecture to ensure scalability and performance Enable real-time and near-real-time analytics for operational and strategic insights Lead architectural planning for business intelligence and AI-powered analytics using tools like Power BI and Microsoft Copilot Stay current with emerging technologies and recommend innovations to improve data architecture Collaborate with engineering, product, and security teams to maintain and evolve technical standards

Required Qualifications:

Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field (Master's preferred) 7-10 years of experience in data architecture within large-scale enterprise environments Proven experience with enterprise data analysis, data quality, and data security practices Strong expertise in cloud data platforms, especially Azure and Snowflake Proven experience integrating and architecting solutions within the Salesforce ecosystem, including Salesforce Data Cloud including Salesforce data schemas and DBT Salesforce tool Hands-on experience with Data Governance tools like Alation, Reltio or Prophecy, and development platforms like DBT Solid background in MDM, IDR, and enterprise data quality initiatives Demonstrated ability to lead cross-functional teams and communicate complex strategies effectively Excellent communication skills with the ability to summarize complex technical information for non-technical audiences Proven ability to influence cross-functional technology teams and engage effectively with senior leadership Comfortable working in a highly professional, executive-facing environment; must present with polished communication and professional demeanor Highly self-motivated, proactive, and able to drive initiatives with minimal oversight Flexible to occasional travel; primarily remote role Comfortable working in a dynamic, change-driven environment (not a business-as-usual role) Willing to participate in a multi-round interview process (typically 3-4 rounds)

Preferred Qualifications:

Experience with automotive industry software or SaaS-based platforms Certifications in Azure (e.g., Azure Solutions Architect), Salesforce, or related data governance/analytics tools Familiarity with Agile methodologies, DevOps practices, and GitHub Skilled in architecting solutions that support near real-time analytics, SaaS platforms, and enterprise systems such as Workday
