We are looking for a skilled Data Engineer to design and implement scalable data solutions in a cloud environment. This role involves building robust data pipelines, ensuring data quality, and developing architectures that support advanced analytics and machine learning. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience with Azure services, big data tools like Databricks, and strong programming skills in SQL and Python. Effective communication and collaboration across teams are essential.

MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES

Identify, generate, and prepare datasets necessary for business intelligence and machine learning initiatives. Develop data architectures and build robust pipelines to consolidate and manage data flows. Design scalable solutions using tools such as Microsoft Azure services, Databricks, and other cloud-based technologies. Ensure data is properly cleansed, transformed, mapped, and optimized in line with both technical and business requirements. Automate workflows and deliver production-ready code, incorporating best practices like unit testing, continuous integration, and version control. Load refined data into appropriate repositories, including data warehouses, real-time analytics platforms, and reporting environments.

QUALIFICATIONS

Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or a related discipline. Azure Data Engineer certification is preferred. Proven experience in data engineering and working with cloud-based data services, particularly Microsoft Azure. Hands-on expertise with data warehousing and ETL technologies. Experience with Big Data platforms, including tools like Databricks and Alteryx. Ability to design and optimize data pipelines, architectures, and datasets for large-scale systems. Strong proficiency in SQL and Python or PySpark. Willingness and ability to adapt quickly to emerging tools and evolving best practices. Clear and effective communication abilities. Strong team collaboration and interpersonal skills. Confidence in delivering presentations and conveying technical concepts. Familiarity with Oracle PL/SQL, Java, or SAS is advantageous. Experience with performance-driven data modeling and design, including the use of indexes, partitions, and views. Knowledge of Azure Synapse Analytics and Azure DevOps. Understanding of data governance and reporting tools such as Purview, Power BI, Qlik, or Tableau.
