SUMMARY:

Provide day-to-day supervision of clinical laboratory personnel in Specimen Management Division.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: Prepares and maintains schedules and provides appropriate coverage to ensure timely sample accessioning. Hires, trains and orients new laboratory employees. Develops and maintains standard operating procedures. Maintains and orders laboratory supplies and equipment Prepares and reports the laboratory metrics and progress reports. Regularly provides performance feedback, mentors employees and completes annual performance reviews. Regularly verifies staff training and competency according to the laboratory regulations. Maintains laboratory compliance according to CAP, NY, CLIA regulations Performs other job-related duties as assigned. QUALIFICATIONS/EXPERIENCE:

Required: Associate's degree in discipline related to work being conducted at the clinical laboratory. Experience: Required: Three years of relevant experience. Certification/Licenses/Registration:
