The Patient Technology Specialist is focused on the use of emerging technology to provide enriching experiences for pediatric patients during hospitalization. This role will help patients process and cope with their medical situation through the use of technology to reduce anxiety, alleviate boredom, manage pain and have fun while they are healing. Requirements
Education Requirements: Associate's degree required, Bachelor's degree in Child Development, Education, IT, or related field preferred * Excellent communication/interpersonal skills * Knowledge & experience with technology & gaming (set up, maintenance, and user education thereof) * Able to engage with patients and their families in a courteous and thoughtful manner * Basic understanding of child and adolescent development * Must be self-motivated and able to problem solve both independently and in a team setting.
