The
IT Systems Administrator - Digital Workplace
is responsible for supporting, optimizing, and enhancing the organization's Microsoft 365 environment. This includes a focus on SharePoint Online, Teams, OneDrive, and the Power Platform (Power Automate, Power Apps, and Forms). The role is instrumental in improving collaboration, streamlining digital workflows, and delivering a secure, user-friendly experience for staff across the organization.
This is an onsite position that works closely with colleagues in Information Services to implement and enforce governance policies, provide Tier 2-3 support, and partner with stakeholders to translate business needs into efficient digital solutions. The administrator will also support Azure cloud services, Entra ID (formerly Azure Active Directory), and Office 365, ensuring seamless integration, security, and performance optimization across the organization's digital ecosystem. Responsibilities include:
Administer and optimize Microsoft 365 services, including SharePoint Online, Teams, OneDrive, Exchange Online, and related collaboration tools. Develop and maintain governance standards for SharePoint sites, Teams, and Microsoft 365 Groups. Collaborate with business units to understand needs and design solutions using Power Automate, Power Apps, and other Microsoft 365 tools. Support and manage digital collaboration environments, including team sites, document libraries, channels, and user access. Provide Tier 2-3 support for digital workplace technologies, resolving escalated issues and ensuring timely resolution. Assist with end-user training, documentation, and adoption strategies to improve platform usage. Administer and maintain Azure AD (Entra ID), Office 365 identity integrations, and group policy configurations. Monitor and maintain performance, security, and compliance across all Microsoft 365 services. Stay current with Microsoft 365 roadmap updates and industry best practices, recommending improvements where applicable. Who We're Looking For

Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field. 3+ years of hands-on experience administering Microsoft 365 platforms and Azure services. Proficiency with SharePoint Online architecture, configuration, and customization. Experience designing solutions using Power Automate, Power Apps, and Forms. Strong knowledge of Azure services, including Virtual Machines, Security Center, Monitor, and Backup. Solid understanding of identity management and security in Microsoft cloud services (Entra ID/Azure AD). Experience managing Microsoft 365 environments, including Exchange Online, Teams, OneDrive, and Intune (Endpoint Manager). Familiarity with security frameworks and compliance regulations (e.g., HIPAA, SOC 2) and risk management practices. Proficiency in system integration, workflow automation, and performance optimization. Strong understanding of cloud-based and hybrid IT infrastructures. Ability to translate business requirements into technical solutions and system designs. Excellent problem-solving, analytical, and project management skills. Strong written and verbal communication skills. Preferred skills include:
Microsoft 365 certifications (e.g., MS-102, MS-700, PL-100, or AZ-104). Experience with Power BI, SQL, and other data analytics or reporting tools. Knowledge of Enterprise Content Management (ECM) best practices and governance. Familiarity with DevOps methodologies, Infrastructure as Code (IaC), and automation tools such as Terraform, PowerShell, or Azure CLI. Background in healthcare or other highly regulated industries.
