SUMMARY
The Sr. Data Engineer is responsible to manage, align and order the enterprise Data Warehouse models, Data ingestion and orchestration from variety of Data Sources and multiple Data formats against the business priorities, while coordinating the development of these requirements with the Data engineering team, Analytics team and overseeing the implementation of Data Warehouse solutions. Leads in collecting compliance evidence for SOX and/or HIPAA audits. Support the daily Operations on the modern cloud BI platform.
ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS
To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to satisfactorily perform each essential function listed below:
The successful candidate will be responsible for discovery, design, development, testing, deployments and implementing core Azure Cloud Datawarehouse architecture to enable appropriate automated, self-service reporting models using business intelligence strategies and software solutions with emphasize on PowerBI
Expert in understanding Data warehouse and Data mart models to implement reporting layer designs for enterprise self-service reporting
Expert in Snowflake Data warehouse, snow pipe, medallion architecture
Experience on various BI and data tools like PowerBI, Azure Data Engineering methodologies (ASQL, ADF, ADL, Logicapp, Databricks, etc..), Snowflake, Azure DevOps to build the solutions and implement CI/CD change release strategy
Experienced with JSON, XML data sources
Experienced with the cloud based data sources which offers API endpoints.
Experience with SDLC products (JIRA, Confluence, Github, etc) or similar agile project management tools
Experience handling structured and unstructured datasets
Knowledge in USQL, Python, Spark SQL is a plus
Experience with Snowflake
Strong t-SQL skills with experience in Azure SQL DW
Experience in Data Modeling and Advanced SQL techniques
Cloud migration methodologies and processes including tools like Azure Data Factory, Azure Synapse, Event Hub, etc
Work with the necessary key stakeholders in Operating Groups and IT Business Partner teams to ensure enhancement/bug fixes needs to be addressed on priority.
Work with Operations teams to minimize the production issues/bug fixes to improve productivity
This role is required to support and implement the technical project delivery of overhauling operating groups end reporting and analytics across all business functions to enable automated self-service reporting and dashboards underpinned by a dedicated data warehouse / data marts, BI software, infrastructure and business processes.
Introduce new processes which helps to minimize manual efforts and improve operational efficiencies' in BI space and team performance metrics to drive continuous improvement
Effectively manage and implement multiple complex IT projects on time and on budget through a disciplined program management approach
Adhere to department goals, objectives, and operating procedures to drive continuous improvement on system stability and project delivery
Provide analytical and data-driven decision-making support for key projects
Communicate effectively with BI Manager and all users of information services and system
In the event an incident arises manage the remediation and long term plan to address
Ensures compliance with SOX processes and assists in the annual SOX audit.
Performs additional duties and activities as required.

Minimum Knowledge and Skills required by the Job
The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or abilities required to perform the job:
Education and Experience:
6+ years of Data warehouse design and data modeling experience in a fast-paced technology company and/or consulting.
8-10 or more years' experience in development of ETLs using MS BI Stack.
Demonstrated technical competence with the latest technologies (Azure, Power BI, SQL Server, SSIS, SSRS, SSAS, Azure/AWS Cloud, Devops (ADO), Snowflake, Mobility & Security)
Certificates, Licenses, and Registrations:
Vendor certification (Azure Data Engineering, PowerBI certifications, Snowflake Certifications.) preferred.
Skills & Abilities:
Expert in Snowflake Data Warehouse, data transformation through Snowflake medallion architecture layers
Expert with Azure Cloud Development infrastructure
Expert with Designing Azure DataLake Storage (Gen2), Azure SQL Server, Azure Data Factory, Azure Logic App, Azure Analysis Services, Automation accounts, PowerShell, JSON and integrations with Azure resources.
Expert with Azure Data Factory working on various datasources and targets
Expert SQL, T-SQL and PL/SQL knowledge against a variety of databases like SQL Server, Oracle, Hyperion and Cache.
Expert with ETL tools like Kettle or Data stage is a plus
Experience with Hyperion and Kronos is a plus
Outstanding SQL, PL/SQL and T-SQL experience
Expertise Oracle and EBS with a concentration on HR
Should feel comfortable with relational design with high transaction databases
Experience with SQL; inner joins, outer joins, group by's, sub queries etc.
Experience with Jira, Confluence, EasyVista or similar application preferred.
Experience with SQL Server, Cache and Oracle
Ability to adapt to new tools
Excellent Verbal and Written communication skills.
