Data Architect
The Data Architect, will be instrumental in designing, implementing, and managing our datainfrastructure, data pipelines on Microsoft Azure and Databricks, define standards & bestpractices, work closely with Finance, Product Lines, Back Office, IBOs and Operations teams toensure our data architecture and solutions are robust, scalable, and aligned with business needs.
Essential Job Functions: •Data Architecture Design: Design and implement efficient data pipelines andarchitectures using Azure Data Factory, Azure Data Lake, Databricks, and other Azureservices. •Data Integration: Develop, monitor, and maintain data pipelines to integrate data frommultiple sources using Azure Data Factory, Databricks ensuring seamless data flow,maintain data quality and data integrity. •Design and lead the adoption of Azure and Databricks standards & best practices.
•Data Model Design & Architecture: Design, implement, and maintain data architecture,data models, data catalog and data dictionary, ensuring data accuracy, consistency, andintegrity across the data warehouse and other systems. •Monitor, enhance and automate housekeeping with Azure, Databricks Monitor, LogAnalytics, Application Insights and enhance system health and performance. Optimizedata storage, retrieval, and cost efficiency within Azure. •Collaboration & Support: Partner with IT and business teams to translate business needsinto efficient, scalable data architectures and solutions. Provide technical support duringthe deployment and maintenance of data applications and Integrations. •Work closely with business stakeholders to understand data needs, and provide valueadded data infrastructure and data product solutions. •Maintain thorough documentation of data sources, data models, data pipeline and dataartifacts to drive consistency and data integrity across systems. Work with IT leaders toenhance data governance and data quality framework and drive adoption. •Stay current with the latest data and analytics technologies, recommendingenhancements and new tools to drive innovation. •Design and implement backup strategies using Azure Backup and Recovery Services.Develop and test disaster recovery plans to ensure business continuity.
Qualifications
•Bachelor's degree in computer science, Information Technology, Data Science, or equivalent experience. •12+ years in cloud architecture, automation and cloud driven solution like Azure,Databricks, Snowflake, AWS and GCP. •Deep expertise in Azure is required - Azure Data Factory, Azure Synapse Analytics, AzureDevOps, Azure AI/ML, Azure AD, Databricks and other Azure data services. •Expertise in optimizing data pipelines for performance and cost-efficiency. •Proficiency in DevOps and CI/CD tools & process - Azure DevOps, Jenkins, GithubActions, Gitlab CI/CD , networking, security and data security best practices. •Experience in Data life cycle management strategies and Master data management. •Hands-on experience in scripting in Python, Poweshell, Bash, Go and in Azure Kubernetesservices, Docker and container orchestration. •Strong collaboration skills with a track record of working across IT and business teams. •Excellent communication and documentation skills, with the ability to convey technicalconcepts to non-technical stakeholders. •Preferred: Microsoft certified Azure Solutions Architect Expert, Azure Administrator andother similar certifications.
