Job Description

Our client is a leading distributor of grocery products serving independent and chain retailers nationwide, as well as U.S. military commissaries through their MDV military division. They are seeking an IT Asset Coordinator, specifically for Hardware.

Location: Grand Rapids, MI - Onsite

This role is responsible for implementing strategic sourcing and vendor relationship strategies for all IT asset acquisitions (Hardware and software). Accountable for asset management and administration as well as relationship management, which includes issue and dispute resolution, order interpretation, equipment oversight, and warehouse governance.

Here's what you'll do: Work with the asset management system, Cherwell, to create and receive requisitions, place orders, confirm deliveries, and manage inventory for multiple locations. Maintain current knowledge of warehouse regulations, industry trends, and best procurement practices; make recommendations to improve current programs and processes and to ensure company legal, financial, and audit compliance. Implement strategic sourcing and vendor relationship strategies for all IT asset acquisitions (Hardware). Responsible for order management and first line of resolution on daily equipment requests, change control, & record keeping. Works on projects that range in size, complexity and contract duration. Ensures that IT projects and initiatives are engaging Finance and Legal at the proper times and complying with company guidelines and non-negotiables. Generate weekly and monthly inventory reconciliation for physical and digital assets. Additional responsibilities may be assigned as needed. Job Requirements

Here's what you'll need:

Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Computer Science, Information Systems or related field or equivalent combination of education and/or experience. Two years of Procurement experience and vendor management experience in Asset Management and Technology Sourcing Managed Services Strong written and verbal communication skills. Strong organizational, project management, analytical, and prioritization skills. Strong knowledge of inventory control and procurement processes. Experience with purchasing and asset management software. Proficient with Microsoft Office.
