Job Summary

Plans, organizes, and controls assigned product line from conception through product life cycle for optimal profit and to achieve marketing, financial, and corporate growth objectives. Drive business growth and performance at the product category level; co-developing and co-leading/influencing customer, pricing, sourcing, and service strategies. Directly/indirectly manage 1 to 5 cross-functional product teams. Actively think long-term strategy (12-24 months) and plan accordingly to sustain and drive initiatives to successful completion. This role is considered hybrid and requires work to be done onsite at our Colmar, PA location, 4 days each week and 1 day remote.

Primary Duties

Manages APMs and Coordinators

Establishes product road map, produce category and customer line reviews and go market strategy

Defines category pricing and add strategies

Defines market messages and ensures all marketing copy, product descriptions, etc. are correct and accurately reflect message and positions

Creates and delivers engaging presentations with influence to support selling

Performs pricing reviews

Sets forecast for new adds

Collaborates with customers and Tech Line

Attends national tradeshows

Proactively follows-up with account managers on a consistent basic

Establishes and drive project priorities

Maintains the pulse of the market and competitor landscape

Is recognized as a credible, marketplace Subject Matter Expert on the product line

Researches and stay informed of market and technology trends

Champions and advocates product lines

Supports Sales team through ongoing education, line reviews, and training

Creates and sets sample, Operating Income (OI) and New budgets for product lines

Manages profitability for assigned product line

Other duties as assigned

Qualifications

Experience within a manufacturing or distribution environment is preferred.

Prior experience working and leading cross-functional teams

Must possess strong written and verbal communication skills to communicate at all levels of the organization and move projects through the organization with minimal direction

Must have demonstrated experience working in a fast-paced, high SKU count environment

Excellent knowledge of Microsoft Office software suite and specifically MS Excel, including pivot tables and v-lookups

Must be willing to travel 10% of the time and have occasional weekend responsibility

Physical Requirement: Capability to lift 50 pounds.

Working Conditions: While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to reach, swivel, carry items from one building to another, and speak and actively listen. Noise level is usually moderate.

Education / Experience

B.S. degree in Business and a minimum of 5 years of relevant work experience

Minimum of 3 years’ experience in Product Management, Marketing, Product Engineering, or Strategic Sourcing with a strong focus on new product development

Strong preference for automotive or similar industry experience
