Must Have Technical/Functional Skills

Perform routine UDB/DB2Database Administration during all phases of development, system test and production cycles. Tasks include database design, creation, maintenance, backup/recover, and performance tuning. Design data models that span across multiple databases in the enterprise. Architect efficient and low-cost solutions for enterprise scale complex environments I actively participate in planning and implementation of Disaster Recovery (DRP) and Business Continuity (BCP) planning. Perform risk analysis on projects in relation to data administrative activities. Enforce DBA Homeroom Best Practice policies and procedures and report on areas that need to be improved upon. Evaluate and provide feedback on enterprise support systems that are being considered by the company to be purchased from solution providers. Evaluate systems and solutions gained via acquisitions. Participate in planning and implementation of integration projects and data migration for various internal and external OSS. Participate in generating and responding to RFPs. Evaluate data administration impacting technologies such as SAN, NAS and backup storage. Provide hands-on training to entry level and junior DBA. Organize, install, and assess enterprise relational database management system (RDBMS) software across multiple database environments. Troubleshoot UDB/DB2 RDBMS running on Unix platforms while complying with ISO9000 guidelines and specific DBA Homeroom best practices. Create, track and report metrics for capacity planning. Analyze current capacity and provide recommendations. Participate with database capacity planning, benchmarking. Ensure all aspects of UDB/DB2 database security control measures are correctly implemented with proper ongoing maintenance. Conduct periodic review and confirm of database accounts to meet audit requirements. Roles & Responsibilities

Strong Working Knowledges in IBM Db2 LUW Replication technologies (Db2 SQL replication and Q Replication, a Queue -based Replication) as well as Using Third party tools for Replications is mandatory. Experience in Installation and Configurations of Huge IBM DB2 LUW systems on Production and Nonproduction Systems on UNIX (Linux/AIX) environments. Experience in Performance Tuning and Optimization (PTO), using native monitoring and troubleshooting tools. Experience with backups, restores and recovery models and implementation of Backup strategies mandatory including RTO and RPO. Strong knowledge of Clustering, High Availability (HA/HADR) and Disaster Recovery (DR) options for DB2 LUW. Strong knowledge of Data Encryption (at rest and in transit) for DB2 LUW. Strong Proven working knowledge on Db2 tools. Explain plan, Db2 reorg, Db2 run stats. Strong knowledge of DB2 SQL and Sourced Stored Procedures. Knowledge of Toad for DB2 and IBM Client tools. Strong knowledge of Linux and DB2 User Access Security, Groups and Roles. Experience with Data Virtualization. Strong knowledge of Linux and DB2 User Access Security, Groups and Roles. Experience in Database Design. Experience with Autosys Workload Automation. Experience with MS PowerShell, Bash, and VB Script etc. Working Experience in Cloud environments especially in GCP, IBM Cloud, Azure Cloud is Big Plus. Knowledge on IBM Maximo Application suite installation and end-to-end process. (Big Plus) Tuning DB parameters. Correlate related incidents together into a problem ticket and manage through the problem management process. Use trend analysis to identify, detail, categorize, prioritize, and create Problems Management Records. Restoration of database. Handle DB performance related issues. Manage all Service requests through the change management process. Automate administration tasks where possible. Manage and update all Database environment documentation.
