As a Welder you will be responsible for welding assemblies and components using welding equipment. You will interpret drawings and shop orders to perform welding operations accurately and efficiently, ensuring all work meets quality and safety standards. Set up, understand and proficiently operate all welding equipment. Troubleshoot various and appropriate machine problems. ID and tag product with shop orders. Retrieve/enter data into system. Ensure quality and proper documentation on all parts. Maintain components and supplies as required to operate efficiently. Weld components based on print specifications. Perform 5S & Continuous Improvement activities. Other duties as assigned. Work as part of a team having responsibility for assembling an entire product or component of a product. High school diploma or GED from an accredited institution A minimum of one year of weld operations, to include MIG, TIG of stainless steel and/or aluminum. No relocation benefit is being offered for this position. Only candidates that currently reside within the immediate geographical area of Sherman, TX will be considered. Spot-welding experience Basic computer skills. Solid math skills; analytical and reasoning skills. Able to read, interpret blueprints and use simple measuring tools. Ability to lift 50 lbs. Ability to work mandatory overtime, including Saturdays and up to 12 hours in a shift, as needed by the business. Ability to stand for the duration of the shift (eight to twelve hours) and perform repetitious tasks. Ability to read blueprints and use simple measuring tools. Ability to follow directions, work independently and close attention to detail. Ability to reach, grasp and manipulate-.
