Electromechanical Maintenance Technician

$1,500 Hiring Bonus!

1st shift:

Monday -Thursday, 6:00am - 4:30pm

possible overtime on Fridays We are a well-established, Omaha based manufacturer with 70 years of providing quality products to our clients. Phillips Manufacturing is the one-stop shop for drywall finishing accessories, lath, stucco accessories, metal channels, interior framing, and fire rated assemblies with facilities around the country.

The ElectroMechanical Maintenance Technician will work with equipment to troubleshoot, repair, maintain/build mechanical, automated production with roll-forming and vinyl extrusion processes.

Position will include 80% mechanical and 20% electrical maintenance tasks . Essential Functions:

Supports manufacturing in mechanical, hydraulic, pneumatic, and electrical PLC related troubleshooting systems and equipment issues.

Update, modify, and continuously improve existing controls systems including ladder logic programs, relay logic, electrical distribution, motor controls and operator interfaces.

Assist in the design and development of new equipment controls including robotic, electronic, hydraulic, pneumatic and vision systems

Develop, modify, and maintain electrical schematics utilizing CAD software.

Able to integrate electronic guarding or safety logic on legacy equipment.

Experience working with servos, stepper motors, AC/DC motors, VFD's and motor starts.

Collaborate with Maintenance Manager & other cross-functional groups to ensure equipment downtime is communicated in a timely fashion.

Observe and comply with all safety requirements of the facility, including wearing all required PPE.

Responsible for periodic inspection of all equipment and any necessary adjustments and repairs.

Completes emergency/unscheduled repairs to maintain production.

Performs such duties as dismantling, moving, installing and repairing of machines and related equipment.

Regular and dependable attendance and punctuality, including being available for overtime, both voluntary and mandatory.
