Scrum Master - Agile Project Manager (Contract) Location:
Hybrid - Candidate must reside in Colorado Duration:
6 Months (08/11/2025 - 02/28/2026) Pay Rate:
$45-$70/hr (W2)
Overview: A government agency in Colorado is seeking an experienced Agile Project Manager to support ongoing technology modernization and agile transformation initiatives. This person will play a key role in leading planning efforts, collaborating with cross-functional teams, and driving forward agile best practices and project delivery.
The role requires onsite work 2-3 days per week; flexibility is essential as hybrid arrangements may evolve.
Key Responsibilities: Lead agile planning and project execution, ensuring alignment with business goals and timelines
Facilitate backlog grooming, sprint planning, retrospectives, and daily standups
Collaborate with product owners and technical teams to define project scope, priorities, and deliverables
Manage project budgets, risk, and communications
Guide teams through agile ceremonies and continuous improvement cycles
Partner with stakeholders to gather, document, and synthesize customer needs and translate into actionable tasks
Ensure consistent communication with internal teams and leadership
Required Skills & Qualifications: 5-7 years of experience managing Agile projects using tools like
Jira
and
Confluence
(required)
Demonstrated experience managing multiple teams and projects simultaneously
Strong leadership and communication skills with a collaborative mindset
Proven track record in agile delivery, backlog management, and team coaching
Excellent problem-solving, facilitation, and decision-making abilities
Bachelor's degree in a technology-related field (preferred)
Agile certifications (Scrum Master, SAFe, etc.) strongly preferred
