Role Overview

We are looking for an experienced

API Tester

to ensure high-quality delivery of API solutions. The ideal candidate will play a hands-on role in test planning, execution, and automation within a CI/CD environment, collaborating across API and mainframe teams to facilitate seamless modernization.

Key Responsibilities

Design and execute test plans, test cases, and automated API tests using

Azure DevOps

Perform API testing using

Postman

and

SoapUI

(build test collections, manage tokens, write scripts)

Interpret and test API schemas (YAML files), ensuring all dependencies are covered

Support CI/CD pipeline integration for automated testing

Collaborate with cross-functional teams to align requirements, conduct user story validation, and support customer acceptance testing

Work with tools such as

SwaggerHub

,

GitHub

, and

Azure DevOps

Coordinate migration efforts from legacy APIs to the new modernized platform

Must-Have Skills

Strong hands-on experience with

Postman

(writing test scripts, managing tokens, etc.)

Proficiency in

API schema interpretation

(YAML)

Experience with

SoapUI

,

SwaggerHub

, and

GitHub

Familiarity with

CI/CD pipelines

and

Azure DevOps

Experience with automated API testing strategies

Work Arrangement

Hybrid
