QA Engineer
Job Summary: We are looking for a detail-oriented and mission-driven
Quality Assurance Engineer
to ensure the delivery of high-quality, secure, and reliable software products in the healthcare SaaS domain. You will be responsible for designing, implementing, and executing test plans, both manual and automated, to ensure our applications meet the highest standards for performance, functionality, and compliance.
Key Responsibilities: Test Planning & Execution Design and maintain detailed test plans, test cases, and test scripts based on product requirements. Execute manual and automated tests for web, and API layers. Identify, document, and track defects, working closely with developers for resolution. Automation & CI/CD Contribute to building and maintaining automated test frameworks. Integrate automated tests into CI/CD pipelines using tools such as GitHub Actions, or Azure DevOps. Support continuous testing efforts as part of Agile sprints and release cycles. Healthcare Compliance & Security Ensure QA processes align with
HIPAA ,
HITECH , and
HITRUST
security/privacy requirements. Validate data integrity, access controls, and audit trails in line with healthcare compliance standards. Participate in risk assessments and support security testing when required. Cross-Functional Collaboration Work closely with product managers, developers, and support teams to clarify requirements and validate acceptance criteria. Participate in sprint planning, backlog grooming, and post-release retrospectives. Advocate for a quality-first mindset across the product lifecycle. Required Qualifications:
Experience: 3+ years of experience in software QA, ideally within a healthcare or regulated environment. Experience testing cloud-based SaaS platforms (e.g., AWS, Azure). Experience with test case management tools (e.g., TestRail, Zephyr) and bug tracking (e.g., Jira). Experience with Microsoft .NET
Technical Skills: Solid understanding of QA methodologies and Agile testing practices. Hands-on experience with automation tools. Familiarity with testing RESTful APIs, JSON/XML, and backend services. Compliance Knowledge: Understanding of
HIPAA
and handling of
PHI/PII
data in testing scenarios. Knowledge of
data anonymization ,
test data management , and
security best practices . Preferred Qualifications: Experience in a health care organization, ideally PACE (Program of all inclusive care for the elderly) or Medicare/Medicaid. Experience with Claims Processing and TPA services Experience with C# / Blazor Experience with healthcare data formats (e.g., HL7, FHIR, X12) Experience with NOSQL Document Databases (eg. RavenDb, MongoDb) Familiarity with performance/load testing tools Exposure to penetration/security testing practices or tools
