OVERALL OBJECTIVE AND PURPOSE

The Senior Business Analyst works as a core member of the delivery team, determining customer requirements and leading the team to provide customer solutions. This position applies a systematic, focused, quantifiable approach to the design, development, implementation, operation and maintenance of software through requirements management. This role leads the team in synthesizing Brightstar, customer, and market requirements to support the assimilation and evolution of Brightstar products and services. This role provides guidance to the delivery team throughout the project life cycle.

PRINCIPAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

Provide leadership to business, technology and project management team members to ensure flawless integration of business requirements with system functionality throughout the project lifecycle

Demonstrate competence with System Development Life Cycle (SDLC), requirements management and other associated methodologies

Elicit, analyze, understand, validate, coordinate, document and handle business and functional requirements associated with formalized project lifecycle

Lead groups in analyzing, designing and implementing solutions to business requirements

Support the implementation of business systems and processes, and clearly articulate the related technical and data architecture concepts

Document, analyze and interpret sophisticated business policies and processes

Identify and handle issues and risks related to requirements and devise strategies to address in a proactive manner

Lead change control for the project requirements after approval, so that change requests are logged, supervised, assessed, and implemented in a controlled and traceable manner.

Lead requirements workshops with project partners

Perform gap analyses, analyze results, settle how to address gaps and verify recommendations with technical team members

Supervise creation or create project-specific Business Analysis Plan and update as required

Handle workload to ensure all tasks and assignments are completed accurately and on-time

Present information effectively to customers and respond in a timely accurate manner

Run data via Requirements Management Tool(s) and perform traceability tasks

Assume additional responsibilities as required

QUALIFICATIONS

Minimum education

BS or BA and 5-6 years experience, or Master’s and 4+ years experience, or equivalent Additional Education/Training in a business functional area or equivalent.

Years Experience

4 or more years industry experience in a related field

Essential special training requirements

Must be familiar with MS Office, MS Project and MS Visio.

Proficiency with Requirements Management Tool (i.e., Polarion, DOORS) is a plus

Standard requirements for research and analysis

At Brightstar, we consider a wide range of factors in determining compensation, including background, skills, experience, and work location. These factors can cause your compensation to vary. The estimated starting compensation range is $59,795 - $122,400. The actual pay offered may end up being higher or lower. The Company will comply with all local pay requirements and collective bargaining agreements, where applicable.

Base pay is only one part of our Total Rewards program. Sales roles may be eligible for commission payments, while other roles are eligible for discretionary bonuses. In addition, we offer employees a 401(k) Savings Plan with Company contributions, health, dental, and vision insurance, life, accident, and disability insurance, tuition reimbursement, paid time off, wellness programs, and identity theft insurance.
